Travel: Raw Spaces for Spiritual Conversations

This is a short blog and is probably kind of messy but I need to speak my mind and I would love if you shared yours alongside mine as well!

I long to experience all that I can. I always try to plan trips somewhere whether that be somewhere close by or near the ocean. There is something about the endless ocean that gets me. I long to be feel surrounded by God’s love and I think the easiest place to feel that is when I am by the ocean.

It is nice to get away and break out of routine and learn about new places and myself. As much as I love traveling, I haven’t even traveled very far. I’ve been to California multiple times but always to the same areas.  I have only been to a few states surrounding New Mexico but not very many others besides that. I just want to spend intentional time in new places and meet new people and learn about new areas.

I’ve grown up in New Mexico and yeah, New Mexico offers a lot of neat locations, events and people but God created a whole world to explore! Yeah, there is this huge thing for traveling now just to travel and make videos which is something I do but if I could do that while sharing God’s love, that would be amazing.

Have you ever had a place that you had to go to to help reenergize your heart and mind? That place is the ocean for me. This past summer I lived in the mountains and that was everything I had hoped for and more and I’ve always grown up in the desert so I am hoping and praying that the next place I reside in is next to the beach.

What I have realized about living in the mountains is that it offers the most neutral and safe space to experience and focus on the love that God has for us. It creates a place to have conversations and be honest about how God has used the most broken pieces of our lives for His purpose. Standing on top of the mountains, driving in between canyons, walking in the desert, laying in the sand in the salt soaked air, hiking under pine trees: these are the type of spaces God uses. These are the raw places our Creator loves to speak to us.

Traveling is expensive and I don’t want to focus on that and get distracted and stressed out about money and let that control whether or not I decide to travel. I love to plan trips even if I may not even go but I would love to plan trips with new friends who love to do the same and have connections all over the country! 

I would absolutely love to spend time with you and others and talk about how God has used us and how good God is! Let's plan a trip to Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles or Nashville!
